Stuart and Nora Baker
Stuart Baker has a long and well known connection with Schoolcraft College, having begun his tenure with the College on January 3, 1973. From administrator, counselor, educator and now a member of the Schoolcraft College Foundation Board of Governors, Stuart has shared his time and talents earning him his unofficial title of "Mr. Schoolcraft!"
Stuart and his lovely wife, Nora, have been supporting the College through the Schoolcraft College Foundation since 1987. This year, they took on the task of becoming the most recent donors to the new Schoolcraft College Foundation planned giving program. The Bakers generously created a charitable gift annuity with the Foundation, which will not only leave a legacy, but provides this amazing couple with a new disposable income stream to use personally or for additional philanthropic goals.
Retiring from Schoolcraft in June of 2018, Stuart shared that the College had provided him with many supportive mentors who guided him through his career. Joining with Nora, the Bakers have become our mentors in demonstrating how easily and comfortably everyone can create their own impact on the mission of Schoolcraft College.
